Overview

The Wellfleet Branch Manager position is responsible for general oversight and operations of the Wellfleet location. The manager provides leadership and support to both sales and operations at the branch, and acts as a liasion to the Hyannis and Nantucket locations. This position is a working management position, often working on sales, providing excellent customer service, and managing special projects. The Wellfleet Branch Manager is an ambassador in the community is knowledgeable and connected to the location's customer base.

 

Position Responsibilities:

 

Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:

  • Provide oversight, leadership, training, and decision making for the Wellfleet location and its employees.
  • Manage branch employees and their day-to-day activities and performance. 
  • Ensure smooth daily operations at the location: managing employee schedules, providing coverage as needed, anticipating potential issues, and responding to both internal and external customer needs. 
  • Set strategic goals for the branch in collaboration with company leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to expand the company's reach with the customer base. Represent Shepley in the community at events and programs
  • Generate quotes, visit job sites and customers as needed, and provide advice and expertise to customers on products.
  • Work in collaboration with the other Shepley locations and leadership to create consistency and synergy. 
  • Stay in tune with new products as they come available from vendors.
  • Maintain a safe and clean physical environment for employees and customers. 

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of lumber or building materials expereince preferred. Ideally, at least 2 years in a leadership position.
  • Strong committment to leadership and ongoing learning. 
  • Superior customer service, communication skills, and organization.
  • High level of professionalism and commitment to high quality work.
  • Valid driver's license required. 
  • High school diploma required, college degree preferred.
