Overview

The Engineered Wood and Steel Inside Sales position is responsible for supporting all day-to-day aspects of the sales process for engineered wood products (EWP) and steel, including but not limited to reviewing plans, providing estimates, ordering, working with vendors, and providing excellent service to internal and external customers.

Responsibilities include:

• Support all needs of the engineered wood and steel outside sales lead. 
• Build and maintain strong relationships with external customers, understanding their needs and being a resource to them.
• Act as a primary point of contact for the team, answering phones and following up on outstanding requests. 
• Review customer plans and projects, developing estimates and blueprint take-offs.
• Work closely with the internal general sales teams to support the sale of EWP and steel products. 
• Collaborate with the purchasing department on ordering stock and special orders, and the operations team on preparing orders and delivery.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Proficiency working with computer systems and software - AutoCAD experience strongly preferred. Familiarity with building plans. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills. Engineering background, sales experience and/or familiarity with construction industry standards and practices are a plus.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, full-time.
